Who We Are...
ItMatter's Foundation is a non-profit organisation driven by compassion and collaboration, this foundation is more than a charity—it’s a personal mission to support as many UK-based charities as possible. Alice Maguire is our founder, she established ItMatters foundation to help support and raise awareness for a wide selection of deserving charities and causes.
How it all starts...
Due to the vast number of commendable and worthy organisations across the UK with many of these in much need of funding support for research and development and the obvious running costs . So many of these obtain no government funding at all or very little , therefore after many thought and consideration we then have the most difficult part the careful process of elimination were we decide which we will support in our next upcoming events.
Then next the fun begins when we begin the planning and organisation of our special events throughout the year.
Our aim at our events is that our guests have the most fabulous memories of fundraising alongside us, as we have the satisfaction of many of our guests repeatedly attending our events from all over the UK .Lots of the feedback we have received from our guests is they how much warmth , compassion and love they felt in the room at our previous events especially our 'Love Ball" .We put our heart and souls into each of our events, its just the best feeling that we can have so much joy whilst successfully raising money for our handpicked Charities . Every event is a celebration of community, generosity, and the shared goal of making a difference.
What makes us different...
Whilst we work hard to make sure everyone has a memorable night, the cause is always at the front of our mind and to ensure every penny possible is given to our chosen charity therefore we organise everything in house ... from setting the tables to sourcing prizes, to personally blowing up balloons!
Everyone who contributes to making our events a success do so voluntary, as there are no beneficiaries within our foundation other than the cause.
Our hearts are full the day we can hand over the cheque knowing that 100% of the proceeds from our event goes directly to the selected charity.
Get to Know Alice
Wife, mother of five children, and homemaker, business owner, Alice Maguire found a renewed sense of purpose once her children were in full-time education. With newfound time and a heart eager to make a difference, she sought out opportunities to contribute meaningfully to her community.
Alice's journey into philanthropy began with organising her first event a Black Tie Charity event in Harrogate, which raised over an impressive £75,000 for Martin House Hospice. Her commitment to supporting those in need didn't stop there. She has since been actively involved in various fundraising initiatives, including hosting events for Young Minds and Breast Cancer Now.
Alice's story is one of making a difference - from a busy mother and businesswoman to a passionate advocate for making a difference in a way that personally she can.
Her journey hopefully serves as an inspiration to encourage others to get involved in local fundraising however big or small , proving that it's never too late to make a lasting impact to others not at times where they are not as fortunate as oneself...

"The Love Ball of March 2024 was such a delight to be apart of. The whole evening was buzzing with so much warmth and excitement ... the incredible £73,000 raised could help fund a Clinical Nurse Specialist for 18 months, to provide pallitace care to children and their families in the place of their choice" - Rebecca Taylor, Martins House 2024.
